beauty and cosmetics, fragrance cosmeticsI do not wear makeup every day because I work from home but I still take beauty and cosmetics seriously, especially if the occasion for it.  For instance I went out for a meal at an upscale restaurant with my husband tonight so I made a special effort with my appearance.
Tonight I layered my fragrance cosmetics by using both scented body lotion and the matching perfume, which is something I don’t always do. I usually use fragranced body lotion or perfume unless I am going out for the evening. I also made an effort with my cosmetics makeup. I wore foundation, powder, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss. I also painted my toenails with polish. I wore my hair up and selected a nice dress with the earrings to match.
I think that making a special effort with beauty and cosmetics for an evening out is important. It’s not about vanity as such. The point of it is to remind myself that I scrub up quite nicely when I make the effort. It is nice to see my husband glance admiringly in my direction and know that he feels proud to have me as his wife.
