beauty and cosmetics, fragrance cosmeticsMy husband and I are raising our granddaughter Alisha because my step-daughter has problems and is not able to do it herself. Just lately young Alisha has taken rather a keen interest in beauty and cosmetics and I am finding this to be both a blessing and a curse. Her interest in beauty and cosmetics is a blessing because she is bathing more often and taking better care of her appearance. However it is also a curse because she is pestering her pap and me for cosmetics makeup that is way too old for her eleven year old self. I am willing to compromise with Alisha when it comes to beauty and cosmetics, but only to a certain extent.  For instance I will allow her to wear light colored nail polish and clear shiny lip gloss. I even allow her to wear lightly scented fragrance cosmetics. However I will not allow Alisha to wear dark nail polish or tinted lip gloss because I feel that if we open too many doors in a short space of time then she will grow up more quickly than she ought to.
