Arpege by Lanvin Still Lives - The Women's Perfume of All Times |

When a woman is young, she usually wears her Mother's perfume and cosmetics makeup. Often, this is without the Mother's approval. However, a girl must learn, and in this process, she will determine what she likes. It is strange; but, I found I truly loved most of the womens perfume my Mother liked. She wore something called Windsong, something that meant the tempting air, and Arpege.
Once I started dating, the boys loved whichever one of her perfumes I had "borrowed." Finally, she began buying me my own. I thought I had grown up!! Now makeup was a different story. I had good skin, and I really did not need much makeup. Back then, I would put petroleum jelly on a small brush and gently put it on my eye lashes. I wore lipstick, and I pinched my cheeks for color...a trick I had learned from the movie, "Gone With the Wind."
Those days are gone, and I wear a little makeup and always make sure I have plenty of skin creams; but, I still pinch my cheeks...especially when you need a quick fix! |
